Last year the world agreed to work together to tackle climate change; global leaders set the agenda for the next 15 years with the approval of the global goals; and the WHO reported a reduction in moms and children dying during pregnancy.
As we reflect on the year behind us, there were some very special and important moments for moms and kids in 2015. But there are some even better times ahead. Here are a few things to look forward to in 2016:
- The World Humanitarian Summit in May is expected to bring together governments and organizations to propose solutions to our pressing humanitarian challenges.
- A new global strategy to support the health and well-being of Every Woman, Every Child will roll out in 2016.
- Also in May, the Women Deliver Conference in Copenhagen is expected to be the largest global event for the health and rights of women and girls.
- And—with your support—we will have the most successful Moms +SocialGood and Global Moms Relay yet!
