White Ribbon Alliance

White Ribbon Alliance is a network of advocates for maternal health.  Our focus is to mobilise people to demand sustainable change.  Rather than short term fixes, our members press local health providers and governments to be accountable and take action to improve health care for moms and moms to be.

The Alliance has thirteen affiliated networks, called National Alliances, mostly in Africa and Asia. We also have tens of thousands of members in many other countries; some are informal coalitions of organisations, others are active individuals, some are both. Together we campaign with the aim that one day all women, everywhere, will be safe and protected in pregnancy and birth.
